We have developed a breakthrough technology that sets our stab resistant underwear apart in terms of comfort. We achieve this by using a unique stab-resistant material that is flexible, lightweight, comfortable and flexible unlike other hard, unbendable protective materials on the market. ARMOR-TEX Outstanding technology.
Traditional stab-proofing usually uses hard metal plates for protection, which naturally adds a great deal of weight. In order to minimize the impact on mobility and reduce weight, the protective area of these stab undershirts is usually very limited. This results in much less protection and much less comfortable wear. Comfort is further limited by the fact that these stab-proof bottoms are no more flexible than pure aramid bottoms, especially in high-intensity combat, making it even more difficult to incorporate this awkward material and construction into everyday life. In contrast, our stab-proof jackets are extremely lightweight while providing extensive protection covering most of the front chest and back. In addition, we offer optional side protection for all-around safety. This is made possible by our flexible construction and high-strength protective materials, which are designed to mold to the body to ensure optimal fit and maximum comfort when worn.
For our stab-resistant materials, we utilize two different variations based on the same underlying technology. Both materials consist of a high-strength aramid fabric with composite plates applied to it. Thanks to an overlap, even a knife cannot penetrate the gaps. For our particularly lightweight puncture-resistant materials, we use a fiberglass composite. For our certified products, we have opted for the best materials available: high-strength aramid, indestructible glass fibers, and ultra-lightweight carbon fibers. This enables our materials to meet the rigorous certification requirements of VPAM according to KDIW 2004 standards.
Comfort and safety.
Our stab-proof jackets offer significant advantages, even when compared to chainmail. Chainmail usually needs to be very strong and requires a very high density of interweaving to be effective against knife attacks, compared to our much lighter materials that provide robust protection. A major disadvantage of chainmail construction is the lack of protection against pinpricks and other sharp, fine objects. Our designs are just as good at resisting such attacks. Our certified products also provide excellent protection against blunt force blows such as punches and kicks.
Our stab-proof jackets offer even greater range of protection because the material automatically bends to the body’s structure when seated, a structural design we put in place at the very beginning of our product design to prevent discomfort. When standing, it tensions again, allowing us to effectively protect the heart as well as vital organs.
